2. Make Sure there is No Download Process Running in the Background

One of the most common reasons responsible for a slow internet connection is generally a download process running in the background. Therefore, it is recommended to make sure that no heavy download process is running when you are trying to carry out some important work using your internet. Playing online games or streaming HD/4k videos can also affect the speed of the internet significantly. So, make sure to check if any of your family members are playing a heavy-data-consuming game or streaming videos in 4k or 2k quality, ask them to stream content in low resolution to maintain the speed of your internet for all devices.

3. Check if any System Update is Processing

Your computer, laptop, and other smart devices like smartphones or tablets are by default configured to automatically check for updates using the internet. So, it can be one of the reasons that you might be experiencing speed issues with your internet. To check for any updates processing in your windows computer, you can use the Start search option. In the start search option, you will need to type updates and press the Enter key on your keyboard. From the search results, you will need to select the Windows update option. This will direct you to the windows update page where you will be able to check if any update process is running.
